The team at The Venue have taken the difficult decision to temporarily close their doors due to the Coronavirus restrictions that have been imposed over recent weeks. The 10pm curfew has made it practically impossible for the nightclub to continue to operate.
The team had transformed the club into a social lounge, which allowed them to open, but with restricted opening hours, the model is now not seen as viable.
A statement from The Venue said:
Dear The Venue’s family & friends,
After the recent government announcement, we’ve come to the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors.
All of us have tried to make our ‘Social Lounge’ idea work, but with the new curfew in place and other new rules we feel we’d be doing The Venue an injustice operating with these stringent and limited restrictions.
We would like to thank all of our customers for supporting us through these difficult times and we look forward to welcoming you all back soon!
Above all, we would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work and dedication in embracing all the changes, and doing their very best at all times for our customers.
