West Mercia Police officers carried out speed enforcement in Fownhope on Sunday, with officers issuing advice to two drivers who were caught travelling above the 30mph speed limit in the village.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police (Hereford Rural North Safer Neighbourhood Team) said:

“Your Safer Neighbourhood Team were in Fownhope this afternoon conducting speed enforcement. Approximately 70 vehicles were checked and all were abiding by the 30mph speed limit at the time apart from 2.

“Both drivers were travelling at 32mph and both were advised about their speed. 

“We will continue to monitor the area when commitments allow.”
