It has been confirmed that pupils are self-isolating after a positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed at Riverside Primary School in Hereford.

A letter sent home to parents said:

We have been made aware of a positive case of COVID-19 in class 2AH.  The pupil concerned was last in school on 13 November and developed symptoms on Sunday 15 November.

In line with Public Health England advice, we have taken the decision to send children in 2AH home as a precaution, as they may have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for COVID-19. These families have received a separate letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 14 days.

The school remains open to all other children. Unless you have been notified by us that your child needs to self-isolate, children should continue to attend school as normal if they remain well.
