Poppy wreaths from Herefordshire have been taken on a Great Western Railway service to London Paddington, to be placed on the war memorial at Paddington station.

The idea to get hundreds of poppy wreaths placed on the memorial at London Paddington was started by Great Western Railway after a veteran told The Veterans Charity that he was struggling to accept that he couldn’t pay tribute to comrades in the usual way because of the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.
