Latest data released by Public Health England indicates that the highest levels of COVID-19 infection in Herefordshire are now being seen in Leominster South.

Data for the seven day period ending 16th October indicates that a total of 43 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Leominster South (Etnam Street, South Street, Worcester Road and Ivington Road areas). This was an increase of 59.3% on the previous seven day period and means that this area has COVID-19 infection rate of 678.7 cases per 100,000 population.

The majority of Herefordshire, in particularly the Hereford and Kington areas are recording ‘high’ levels of infection, with the majority of areas seeing infection rates higher than 400 cases per 100,000 population.

The Bromyard & Bishop’s Frome area currently has the lowest levels of infection in Herefordshire, with a COVID-19 infection rate of 139.3 cases per 100,000 population during the seven day period ending 16th October.
