KFC has confirmed that a member of staff from the fast food restaurant in Hereford has tested positive for COVID-19. Four other members of staff are self-isolating.

A KFC spokesperson said: “A team member at our KFC Stonebow Road branch tested positive for coronavirus this morning, and it goes without saying we’re wishing them a full and speedy recovery.

“They were already self-isolating at home since Tuesday and four other team members are also currently self-isolating as a precaution.

“We have strict social distancing measures in the restaurant and we’re taking every precaution and doing all we can to support the team members at this time.

“Rest assured that we are following all the necessary guidance to maintain a safe, clean environment for both our teams and guests.

“Our top priority has been making sure our restaurants operate responsibly, we are following government guidelines and advice rigorously.”
