Around 12.25pm yesterday (Tuesday 19 October) officers received a report concerned for the welfare of a man at an address on The Glade, Malvern.
The road was closed while officers and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene.
A 52-year-old man from Malvern was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital in a non-life changing condition.
He was later discharged and further arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
He remains in custody.
No other injuries were reported and enquiries are ongoing.
