NEWS | Major route in Herefordshire set to be closed for several hours following a collision this afternoon

Update – West Mercia Police have confirmed to Your Herefordshire that the incident is involving a HGV and a motorcycle and that the road will remain closed for a number of hours. 

West Mercia Police have said that a major route in Herefordshire will remain closed for sometime this afternoon, following a collision.

The A44 is currently closed at Bringsty Common, in both directions, following the collision earlier this afternoon.

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are all in attendance at the incident.

Motorists are advised to expect delays on surrounding routes and to plan ahead.
