Lidl will reopen the doors at its Hereford store next week after a five month closure.

The store has been closed since 9th May, with an extensive refurbishment taking place. A new and improved bakery section is just one of the many improvements made to the store. The store will also be close to double the size of the previous store, after knocking through to the unit previously occupied by Poundworld.

A spokesperson for Lidl told Your Herefordshire:

“Doors will reopen on Thursday 14th October following an extensive refurbishment which includes a larger bakery section.”

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Paul Hebblethwaite, commented in May 2021 saying: “We’re extremely excited to be starting construction for the modernisation and extension of our Hereford store, so that we may bring the local community an even greater selection of our fresh, quality and affordable produce. We are grateful for all the support that we have received so far and would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding whilst we enter the next stages of the development.”
