Kington, Ledbury, Hereford North East, Penyard, Llangarron & Goodrich and one area of Leominster (Leominster South), are currently recording high COVID-19 infection rates.

Overall, Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate is on the rise, with 895 cases of the virus recorded in Herefordshire in the seven day period ending 20th October. This is up by 9.7% on the previous seven day period and means that the COVID-19 infection rate in Herefordshire is currently 462.3 cases per 100,000 population.

The Kington, Eardisley & Staunton area of the county is currently seeing the highest infection rates, with an infection rate of 628.4 cases per 100,000 population recorded in the seven day period ending 20th October. This is up by 26.8% on the previous seven days.

This is followed by Penyard, Llangarron & Goodrich where the COVID-19 infection rate for the seven day period ending 20th October was 611.8 cases per 100,000 population. Up 105.6% on the previous seven days.

This is then closely followed by Leominster South, where a COVID-19 infection rate of 599.7 cases per 100,000 population was recorded in the seven day period ending 20th October. This is up by 8.6% on the previous seven days.

Then comes Hereford North East, with a COVID-19 infection rate of 593.2 cases per 100,000 population for the same seven day period. Up by 30.6% on the previous period. The fifth highest infection rate is in Ledbury, where the infection rate for the seven day period ending 20th October was 566 cases per 100,000 population. Up by 180% on the previous seven days.
