Herefordshire Council is set to spend £31,475 on CCTV in Maylord Orchards and Garrick House Car Parks in Hereford.

The council says that the purpose behind the installation is to improve security at both car parks and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour and reduce revenue repair costs.

OpenView Security Solutions Ltd are the councils incumbent supplier of Security and Surveillance Equipment & Maintenance Services and they will carry out the work.

One of the reasons why the council has decided to install CCTV in both car parks in because the anti-social issues are persistent and difficult to address without visual evidence.
