COVID-19 infection rates in Herefordshire remain ‘high’ but currently show no signs of any significant increase in the number of cases being recorded.

Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate for the seven day period ending 14th October was 408.5 cases per 100,000 population. This was down by 12% on the previous seven day period when the infection rate was 464.3 cases per 100,000 population.

However some areas close to the Herefordshire border are recording ‘very high’ rates of infection. Here are three areas that are currently recording ‘very high’ levels of infection:

Mitcheldean, Drybrook & Ruardean – COVID-19 infection rate of 800.7 cases per 100,000 population in the seven day period ending 14th October.

Tewkesbury East & Ashchurch – COVID-19 infection rate of 845.7 cases per 100,000 population in the seven day period ending 14th October.

Ludlow Town – COVID-19 infection rate of 803.1 cases per 100,000 population in the seven day period ending 14th October.
