A bridge in Herefordshire is set to be closed for nearly a month, for work to take place. Laystone Bridge in Marden will be closed between 25th August and 20th September.

The following information has been received from Balfour Beatty:

Works will be taking place under a full road closure, starting on Wednesday, 25 August 2021 to (and including) Monday, 20 September 2021. The type of work we’re doing will mean we need to fully close the road for the duration of the project – that will be 24/7. We’ve attached a plan showing exactly where it’ll all be happening.

The fully signed diversion route for cars/LGVs is via the C1122 Marden / C1120 / C1126 Sutton St. Michael / C1125 towards Hereford / A4103 Holmer / A49 / C1122 and vice versa.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. At Balfour Beatty we work in partnership with Herefordshire Council to minimise the impact of our work and try to keep all disruption to a minimum – we appreciate your patience.

We may need to change the programme of work in certain circumstances, such as bad weather. We’ll make sure we highlight all changes on advance warning signs, which you’ll find onsite at the roadworks. You can also follow us on Twitter via @HfdsStreets and Facebook via Herefordshire Highways for updates on roadworks.
