Herefordshire Council has gone ahead with plans to introduce 20mph speed limits on streets in Hereford, with signage being put in place this morning.

The new 20mph speed limits had already been put in place in market towns across the county, with many members of the public supporting the plans, with some even wanting the new speed limits to be extended to other residential streets outside of the town centres.

The 20mph speed limits have been introduced as part of the Emergency Active Travel Measures that local councils have been asked to put in place by central government, with funding made available for the cost of implementing the speed limits and other measures.

The signs are still being put in place, but the 20mph speed limit is expected to be introduced on several routes in Hereford, with a full list below. Please note that the list below is from Herefordshire Councilā€™s original release and there may be some minor adjustments.
