Hereford FC have released the following statement:

We can confirm that whilst en route to Spennymoor yesterday, 3 members of the 1st team reported feelings of being unwell.

The Club immediately followed the correct protocol to advise and consult with both the Club and National League’s Medical Advisors.

Following this consultation, the National League subsequently called the match off.  As per the National League protocol, the 1st Team have now been placed in isolation for 10 days. We await the outcome of the 3 tests, expected in the next 48 hours.

Andrew Graham, Chairman of Hereford FC said ” As frustrating as this is to have this happen at such a late hour before a match, it is impossible to predict when someone is going to start to feel unwell. As soon as we were made aware, our priority was that the correct procedure was followed to ensure the safety and welfare, of staff and players, of both our own Club and the host Club. We are monitoring the situation while we await the test results.”

Following the news yesterday of a further lockdown until December, the Club can confirm that this does not affect Hereford FC and we continue with the season through the lockdown.
