Torrential overnight rain across Mid Wales has seen two Flood Warnings issued on the River Wye.

The warnings issued from Natural Resources Wales said:

River Wye at Builth Wells

This message will be updated at 1pm. At 6am, the level at Builth Wells was 3.9 metres and rising. river levels are rising in the Upper Wye and have yet to peak at Builth Wells.

River Wye at Glasbury

This message will be updated at 1pm. At 6am, the level at Erwood was 3.5 metres and rising. The level at Glasbury was 3.2 metres and rising.

Further Flood Warnings are expected to be issued on the River Wye in Herefordshire later this morning, with levels at Hay-on-Wye, Bredwardine and Hereford all rising rapidly. Riverside paths in Hereford are likely to become blocked by floodwater from mid morning in places.
