A woman has been found dead following an explosion at a house in Birmingham this morning.
West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service confirmed this morning that the body of a woman had been found at the scene of the incident.
West Midlands Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Midlands Fire and Rescue and a number of other organisations remain at the scene.
Surrounding businesses and schools are closed.

The incident, believed to be a gas explosion, has completely destroyed one property and significantly damaged 3 adjoining properties.
One man was rescued prior to the arrival of the fire service and was taken into the care of West Midlands Ambulance, and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
