Six African countries are set to be added to the United Kingdom’s red travel list from midnight tonight due to concerns over a new variant of COVID-19 that could be more transmissible than the current Delta variant and there are also concerns that current vaccines could be less effective against this new variant.
One of the countries set to be added to the red list is South Africa.
