2Faced Dance Company have toured internationally with their show: What The Moon Saw and now the show comes to The Courtyard in Hereford for 5 very special performances.

“We can’t wait to bring What The Moon Saw home!” says Company Manager Lisa Sullivan. “It’s such a beautiful and magical show. It really shows the versatility of the company. This is our first children’s work and it has been received so well wherever it has been. The gentle narrative teamed with the stunning set and incredible movement on stage makes for the perfect introduction to theatre and dance for little ones that perhaps haven’t seen anything like this before.”

What The Moon Saw is inspired by the story of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. The main character, a boy called Jack, makes friends with The Moon and together they go on an adventure through the night meeting wonderful and magical characters along the way.

“What The Moon Saw may have toured the world but we are most excited about bringing the show home” Sullivan continues. “It’s wonderful for children and their families to see what it is we do on and off the stage. Our weekly classes and holiday schools are a big hit in Hereford and this is a wonderful opportunity for people to see the professional company doing what they do best on The Courtyard’s stage. We hope to see as many people there as possible!”

Audiences are invited to come early to The Courtyard to enjoy FREE craft activities before the show and they might even get a glimpse of a character or two. Whatsmore, after the show, audiences are invited onto stage to leave their mark on the chalkboard set and take selfies with The Moon!
