Herefordshire Council has committed to providing free school meals during half term.
The council has taken the decision to support families during half term, following the governments decision to reject a plan put forward by Labour and footballer Marcus Rashford for children to continue to receive free school meals, during the school holidays, until Easter 2021.
The council posted the following on social media:
“No child should have to go hungry. We are providing funding through our Talk Community programme, for local families who receive Free School Meals to get essential food supplies during half term from The Living Room. More info 01432 381838 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org”
