At a time of change for many people across the world, protecting our mental health and wellbeing has perhaps never been so important. For many of us, these changes can be difficult for us to cope with and its easy to become fearful and anxious worrying about what the future will bring.

Following the success of the Strong Young Minds project, the team have announced the launch of a brand-new and enhanced programme to continue to help support young people aged 10-26 through the everyday and find new ways to manage and stay healthy both mentally and physically.

Whilst a lot of things seem different and uncertain at the moment, the Strong Young Minds programme acts as a first line of support to navigate young people through times of change and uncertainty which can have an adverse effect on mental health and wellbeing.

The ongoing impact of COVID-19 has undoubtedly affected the thoughts and feelings we all have, creating a new set of worries and anxieties that we might not have even known we had. That’s why as part of the new programme, they want to hear from you to offer some insight into the many different ways you may or may not have coped through #ChapterCovid (because it is only a brief chapter in our book of life).

What was your experience of lockdown? How did you spend your everyday? What three words would you use to describe how COVID-19 has made you feel? How have you adapted to restrictions?

They are also keen to hear about the support that you would like to receive and what their brand-new youth workers, Meg and Ryan can do to best help you.

From 1 to 1 sessions, workshops and group activities as well as peer listening and support, Strong Young Minds is there to help and offer guidance on how to adjust to this ‘new normal’.
