Introducing James Graham, a local entrepreneur who, despite his young age, already has plenty of life experience.
James lives in Ledbury and runs his own Estate Agency business called ODOS Properties – www.odosproperties.co.uk
Studying at the King’s School in Worcester, James always had the mind of a business owner. He owned a bespoke Mountain Bike Company based near Bredon at the age of fourteen, employing his first member of staff.
With grandparents living in Burghill and Stretton Sugwas, James has always had a love for Hereford.
In his own words, James maintains a low key presence, as he prefers it that way. When asked about his favourite superhero, Batman came to mind immediately for his ability to step up when required, then take a back seat.
Aged just 15, James experienced one of the most life changing experiences of his life which saw him given a bravery award from Princess Alexandra. James was returning from MMA training with a friend, when they came across a 52 year old man, overhanging a bridge above a flooded River Severn in Worcester. The man was shouting that he wanted to kill himself. James called the police but before they could arrive, he caught the man as he was about to jump and held him until assistance arrived.
From leaflet dropping, to bar work and even a job on a building site in Bali, James has tried it all! James even enjoyed a stint as a carer during a period when he wanted to ‘test his comfort zone’ and is fully supportive of the fact that carers should receive a better wage, especially in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.
At just 18 James set up ODOS Properties, an online Estate Agents. ODOS Properties started trading when James was 19 and he soon found himself employing more staff and having the responsibility of premises.
A lover of pets, James has two dogs. Two beautiful chocolate Labradors.
